We have volunteer opportunities to fit all schedules... from home, in the school, on weekends. Indoor, outdoor, for Dads. One time, on-going, administrative. Fundraisers and special events.
Register to tell us how you'd like to help out. We can help you find volunteer opportunities that fit into YOUR schedule. Register before October 19th to enter your child's classroom into a drawing for $50!
Here are some examples:
- Box Tops for Education
Collect Box Tops for Education and send them into school. The class with the most box tops wins a party and PALS earns money for the schools! In addition to participating in the contest, you can help by collecting and counting the Box Tops. - Teacher and Staff Appreciation Luncheon
Each spring an appreciation luncheon is held for all teachers and staff grades K-8. In addition Teacher and Staff Appreciation week is celebrated. You can help by cooking/baking, working the event or helping with the planning. - Holiday Festival
Held the first Saturday in December, the holiday festival features an opportunity for community members to win classroom theme baskets, large ticket items in the silent auction, smaller ticket items in the penny sale and enjoy delicious baked goods and live music from the Three Rivers Band and Chorus. You can help by attending the event, set up and break down, volunteer during the event, or help with the planning and preparations. Preparations begin early in the school year. - Room parents*
From time to time teachers request a parent point of contact to help organize in class activities among other parents - Field Trip Chaperones*
Throughout the year classes take field trips and parents are often needed to assist while off site. - Wee Deliver*
The third grade class learns about the U.S. Postal Service by collecting, sorting, stamping, and delivering mail throughout Hill School. - Special Events*
Picture Day, Book Fair, Performances
